Abstract:: Since the outbreak of COVID -19 in Wuhan, due to its rapid contagion and great harm, finding effective treatments has become the top priority of current medical work. Through the unremitting efforts of experts and colleagues of the Chinese medicine practitioners, the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of this disease has been fully recognized. “ Preventative treatment of disease” , as the essence of traditional Chinese medicine theory, integrates prevention, treatment, and prognosis, and has important guiding significance for many diseases. To this end, this article uses the theory of “ preventative treatment of disease” to explore the prevention and treatment of COVID -19 with Chinese medicine, and fully explore the therapeutic potential of traditional Chinese medicine for it.
