- The main cause of repeated acute exacerbation of chronic heart failure is the overload of volume, and the method mainly based on diuretics cannot adequately improve fluid retention. Through the combination of Chinese medicine, Western medicine and summing up the experience of TCM in treating “ heart edema” ; taking the regulation of both fluid and qi as the guide; the methods of boosting qi to promote urination, warming yang to promote urination, warming qito promote urination, moving qi to promote urination, lowering adverse qi to promote urination as well as expelling water make fluid retention in patients with chronic heart failure better controlled.
