- Abstract:
- Important Formulas Worth a Thousand Gold Pieces ( Qian Jin Fang) ，short for Beiji Qianjin Yaofang and Qianjin Yifang，is finished by Sun Simiao － a famous physician in the Tang Dynasty( 618 － 907) ． The book is drawn ex- tensively，covering almost all the modern clinical subjects and is a highly practical encyclopedia． This article begins with the background of Sun Simiao's time，and then analyzes the historical reasons for the achievement of the book " Qian Jin Fang" by analyzing the characteristics of the social environment，foreign exchange，religious influence，medical inherit- ance，academic innovation and so on．
