- Abstract:
-
Theory of Five Circuits and Six Qi in the The Yellow Emperor’ s Inner Classic is based on the theory of Qi- Yinyang - Five Elements - Spirit. Heavenly stems and earthly branches and sixty - year cycle are used as its deductivetool to discuss the relationship between weather and human living environment, the epidemic characteristics of visceraldiseases related to climate change, as well as how to predict and treat the law of medication. Whether it is visceral outward manifestation, qi movement or qi transformation, formula method, and rule of law, are all based on the knowledge ofFive Circuits and Six Qi. without which their cultural origin and theoretical foundation can not be found. This is the reason why the academic standpoint condensed by the Theory of Five Circuits and Six Qi is the “ standard” for the development of traditional Chinese medicine theory.
