Abstract: Cultural confidence is a firm belief that a country or a nation has in making positive evaluations of its cultural history,values,practices,and future.Traditional Chinese medicine culture is one of the excellent traditional Chinese cultures.In the curriculum system of higher education in traditional Chinese medicine,based on traditional Chinese medicine culture,integrating cultural confidence into the curriculum of ideological and political education has a natural disciplinary advantage.The course of medicinal botany,as a cross fusion of botany and traditional Chinese medicine,can better interpret and inherit Chinese herbal culture.The ideological and political elements in the curriculum of Bencao culture are rich,including name interpretation culture,medicinal map culture,agricultural culture,folk culture,intangible culture,dietary culture,poetry culture,etc.In the course of medicinal botany,it is of great significance to deeply explore the culture of herbal medicine and use it to tell stories of cultural confidence,in order to understand and spread traditional Chinese medicine culture,cultivate students professional confidence,and strengthen the confidence of Chinese culture.
