Effect of Weipingshu Capsule on the Autophagy Level of Gastric Mucosal Cellsin in Chronic Atrophic Gastritis Model Rats

- Abstract:
- Objective To investigate the effect of Weipingshu ( soothing stomach) Capsule on the autophagy level of gastric mucosal cells in chronic atrophic gastritis rat model associated with dysplasia. Methods 8 were randomly selected as the normal control group among 60 Wistar rats, and the rest were induced by MNNG to establish a model of gastric mucosal atrophy with intestinal metaplasia, and randomly divided into model group, Weipingshu low - dose group and Weipingshu high - dose group. The histopathological changes of gastric mucosa, gastric antrum and gastric body mucosa and muscle layer thickness as well as the gastric mucosal epithelial cells changes in autophagosomes of each group were observed respectively. Results Compared with the model group, the thickness of gastric mucosa and muscle layer in the antrum of the Weipingshu capsule low and high dose groups was significantly higher than that of the model group ( P <0.01; P <0. 01) . The secondary? lysosome in the Weipingshu high dose groupvisible is visible with more autophagy – like bodies. Conclusion Weipingshu Capsule can significantly improve the abnormal morphology of gastric mucosal epithelial cells and gland atrophy, increasing the number of autophagosomes in gastric mucosal epithelial cells.
