- Objective: To observe the effect of Guizhi Fuling Capsule on the expression of aquaporin 1, 2, 5 ( AQP1,2, 5) in ectopic endometrium of endometriosis ( EMs) rats. Methods: The EMs model rats were randomly divided into model group, Guizhi Fuling capsule high and low dose group, Sanjie Zhentong capsule group and Danqi Fukang ointment group, with 15 rats in each group. Another 15 rats in the normal control group were set up. EMs rats were treated with Guizhi Fuling Capsule, Sanjie Zhentong Capsule and Danqi Fukang Decoction. After 4 weeks of administration, the expression of AQP1, 2 and 5 in ectopic endometrium of EMs rats was detected by real - time fluorescence quantitative PCR ( RT - qPCR) . Results: Compared with the normal control group, the expression of AQP1 mRNA in the ectopic endometrium of the model group was significantly increased, and the expression of AQP2 mRNA and AQP5 mRNA in the ectopic endometrium of the model group was significantly decreased. Compared with the model group, the expression of AQP1 mRNA in the ectopic endometrium of the Guigao group was significantly decreased. The expression of AQP2 and AQP5 mRNA in ectopic endometrium of Guigao group was significantly increased. Conclusion: The mechanism of Guizhi Fuling Capsule in treating EMs is related to down - regulation of AQP1 gene expression in ectopic endometrium and up - regulation of AQP2 and AQP5 gene expression in ectopic endometrium of rats, which inhibits the growth of ectopic endometrium vessels and causes atrophy and necrosis of ectopic endometrium.
