Effect of Huoxue Jiangtang Decoction on Dietary Preference of Patients with Type 2 Diabetes and Its Molecular Mechanism

- To explore the effect of Huoxue Jiangtang Decoction on high glucose and high fat diet preference in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and its regulation on plasma soluble CD36. Method: A total of 40 inpatients and outpatients in our hospital were selected and divided into treatment group and control group, with 20 cases in each.All patients were given Sigliptin Phosphate Oral Treatment, and the treatment group was given Huoxue Jiangtang Decoction in addition. Syndrome scores were calculated, fasting blood glucose ( FPG) , 2 - hour postprandial blood glucose ( 2h- PG) , fasting insulin ( FIns) , 2 - hour postprandial insulin ( 2h - Ins) , insulin resistance index ( HOMA - IR) , freefatty acid ( FFA) , sCD36 and preference scores for four drinks with different glycolipid contents were measured before and after treatment. Result: After treatment, the scores of syndromes, FPG, 2h - PG, Fins, 2h - Ins, HOMA - IR, FFA,sCD36 and preference for high - sugar and high - fat diet were significantly improved in both groups ( P < 0. 05, P < 0.01) . After treatment, the scores of syndromes, 2h - PG, Fins, 2h - Ins, HOMA - IR, FFA, sCD36 and preference for high - sugar and high - fat diet in the treatment group improved more significantly than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant ( P < 0. 05, P < 0. 01) . Conclusion: Huoxue Jiangtang Decoction has a good effect of lowering blood sugar and lipid, improving insulin resistance, regulating plasma sCD36 content, and improving the preference of type 2 diabetes mellitus for high - sugar and high - fat diet.
